Dr. Kisha Dasent

Dr. Kisha Dasent is an alum from the Cathy Hughes School of Communication at Howard University. Working as a manager for many major retail corporations, a consultant for New York City Department of Transportation, and as an assistant professor has provided an understanding of cultural and communication competency, inclusive leadership, conflict resolution and management, and creating an environment where people feel like they are respected, validated, and belong, fostering a culture of true inclusion. As an educator, communication expert, and diversity and inclusion strategist, Dr. Dasent is passionate and dedicated to representation for all groups of people in every aspect of life.

True inclusion is a human right and seeks to ultimately remove barriers to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This can only be accomplished when all individuals feel they are truly a part of their organization or academic community.
